Through this unique, innovative and empowering Painting Workshop, Gregory Burns will help participants reconnect with the artist within while creating a meaningful work of art that you take home. Gregory will lead participants through a hands-on art-making workshop using paint and pastels, which stimulates the more creative selves. This Master-class will empower participants to work creatively and more intuitively while rediscovering the joys of creation.
Water and paint define much of Gregory Burns’ life. Following doctor’s suggestions that water was a good medium for a child with polio, Gregory began swimming at the age of three and took up painting still life’s of bottles and bread at the age of five. Since these tender ages, he has certainly become a Master of his own destiny.
Gregory went on to become a Paralympic athlete, competing in 1992, 1996 and 2000 Paralympic Games as a member of the USA Paralympic Swim Team, winning numerous medals and breaking five world records.
Today, Gregory is above all an accomplished artist, having exhibited internationally, and his paintings hang in numerous corporate and private collections including that of P & G, Clifford Chance, and Bill Clinton. Gregory holds a Master of Fine Art from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, and is a published author and writer on the arts, sports, and travel, widely featured in magazines, newspapers, TV, and radio.
